Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Local storage also saves information on your device, but is not sent with every website request. This policy describes the preference storage and optional analytics used by this website.

Essential preference storage

The local storage item elem-analytics-consent-v1 remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It is set when you make a choice, contains only that choice and is not used for advertising.

It has no automatic expiry in the current implementation. It remains until replaced by a new choice or cleared by you or your browser. If storage is unavailable, your choice applies to that visit and may not be remembered next time.

The public quote form does not require a sign-in cookie. Its duplicate prevention identifier is held in page memory, not a cookie or persistent browser storage. Additional essential storage set by hosting or security services must be verified on the final live domain before publication; this is not a claim that the hosting platform never sets cookies.

Optional Google Analytics 4 cookies

Only after you accept, the website loads Google Analytics 4 from Google. Google's documented first-party GA4 cookies are:

• _ga: distinguishes visitors. Google's default duration is two years.
• _ga_<identifier>: persists session state for the configured analytics property. Google's default duration is two years.

The website does not set a custom analytics cookie duration. Expiry may be refreshed by subsequent activity, and browser settings can shorten it. The final live site's observed cookie names and durations and the Analytics account settings still require review.

Why we use analytics

With your consent, analytics measures visited page paths, successful saved enquiries, phone and email link clicks and quote link clicks. This helps ELEM understand how the website is used. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, postcodes and enquiry messages are not deliberately sent in those events.

The configuration disables Google signals and advertising personalisation and denies advertising storage. It does not load Google Analytics before acceptance. Google processes the technical information associated with analytics requests; its applicable processing and international transfer arrangements need confirmation in the Privacy Policy.

Accept, reject or change your choice

The banner offers equally accessible Accept and Reject options. Rejecting analytics does not stop you browsing or submitting an enquiry. Use Cookie preferences in the footer, or the button below, to change your choice.

When you reject after accepting, the website disables further analytics tracking and attempts to remove accessible Google Analytics cookies on the current domain. Withdrawing consent does not erase information already sent to Google. Browser settings can also remove or block cookies and local storage.

Providers and review before launch

ELEM Construction operates this website using Lovable hosting; optional analytics is provided by Google. The detailed hosting/security storage inventory on the final domain, provider arrangements and account-level analytics settings need confirmation before this draft is published.
